I personally am having a hard time finding music that suits some of the characters I've created.
Im curious as to how some of you guys find the music you use for Wrestler themes, Show themes, and general background music for videos.
Thanks for any response!

It can be very hard for some, I end up changing mine a lot. I tend to use a lot of video game remixes and instrumentals as I primarily put my videos on youtube so I try to avoid copyright where I can. I also like to avoid using wrestling themes, I just prefer not to use them even if they are great themes to use lol. I have a group of friends I can test them out on too so I can get a feel for what other people think and also they are great for suggestions.
Now what are the types of CAWs that you are looking for themes for?

I try to avoid using "popular" music and "popular" wrestling themes. For instance Billy Kidman's "You Can Run" theme is one of my favorite entrance themes, but I would never use it on a CAW. Whereas Serena Deeb's "Gangsta vs Gangster" theme that she used during FCW I feel okay using since her run as Mia Mancini wasn't broadcasted past FCW, and you don't necessarily connect the theme with her persona.
I like to try and find themes that can potentially "belong" to one of my characters. I don't want people to associate the theme with another wresting character, since it ruins the illusion of the "reality" of the character. It can be really tough finding the right theme for someone, especially if you didn't create a CAW with a theme in mind. I also lean towards finding instrumentals. Lyrics in a song can really ruin the aspect of a character, especially if they contradict the person presented, so if I like a beat I'll try and find an instrumental version and see how it fits with the character's persona.
Finding remixes of videogame music is another route I like going in too, to where the remix is different enough to where you don't immediately connect it with the game, or if the game isn't necessarily popular enough to garner that type of attention. I sometimes go against this though, as my current Georgia Eagles' theme isn't a remix, but the actual song used in a Soul Caliber game. Some people picked on it, others didn't, but I felt the song fit Georgia's persona so it was a nice sacrifice.
I watch a lot of anime, so I occasionally use songs from anime OST's as well, but only from anime I've personally seen. I wouldn't use a song from an anime I haven't.
Then there's royalty free music that won't ignite a content claim on YouTube. I go this route a lot, and searching for songs that match the feel of the character you're creating can actually make the search go a lot smoother.
I just try and aim for authenticity, finding songs where when they play you know it's a certain character coming out and not another.

Hana pretty much summed it up. Also there are unsigned bands that don't flag up on YouTube when you post the characters we will probably have a better idea for suggestions you could try. For video game remixes I would use ocremix as they have a lot in different genres too. I've had caws wirh themes that I have changed and then changed back again so it can be tough anyway I am sure myself and Hana will help you if we can also I find movie and modern game scores can be gold for promo packages.
