CAMP STYLE: Hybrid fighting which focuses on technical striking with grappling and submission wrestling techniques.
CAMP MAJOR/MINORS: Kyokushin Kaikan, Catch Wrestling and Judo
During his two year leave from the Major pro wrestling circuit Alex Stryder travelled to several gyms to train in their style of fighting. His two most significant stops were first at Tigers Cave in Kyoto Japan, where he experienced the difference between shoot kicks and his own style of Kyokushin KaiKan kicks. The second was Robbie Scott's CAC Gym in Lancashire where Stryder was reintroduced into a more in depth version of Catch as Can (or Catch Wrestling). After studying these fighting styles Stryder combined the necessary techniques into his own fighting style in which he dubbed "Jaguar Shoot Style". (A combination of the title “Jaguar” assigned to him by Tigers Cave and the word "Shoot" taken from Shoot Wrestling)
